DAY 22

Read: Psalm 67

Psalm 67 says “God be gracious to us and bless us and cause His face to shine on us” (NASB). In the Message Bible it says, “God marks us with grace and blessing! Smile!” We have been marked for the blessing and grace of God. 

At the end of the verse we note the word ‘Selah’ which means to pause, to think, to meditate, to internalize, to sing praises and worship.                                             www.newhopetv.org

Let us consider the moon which has no light of its own but reflects the light of the sun. It constantly receives light from the sun. Much like the moon, you and I are objects of God’s grace and blessing. Our response should be to stand in awe and adoration.

In the midst of all the uncertainty, darkness and confusion around us, we can say with assurance, ‘I am marked for the grace and blessing of God. He will strengthen me, He will uphold me, He will sustain me and see me through victoriously. I have been set apart and sealed by God’. May we rejoice and continually praise Him.


:: Prayer ::

Forgive us Lord for living as if we are nobody, choosing darkness in the difficult time. Even though we are going through the valley, Your mercy is constantly upon us. May we rejoice, celebrate and reflect Your goodness and grace in our lives. We are secure on the inside though the outside is broken. Thank You dear Lord for Your face shines upon us. In Jesus name, Amen.

DAY 32 - God At Work

                            DAY 32 Read: Genesis 37:31-36 Psalm 53:5 says, they feared where no fear had been. Joseph’s brothers sold him off and informed their father that Joseph had been eaten by the wild animals. Jacob on hearing this news tore his clothes put on sack cloth and was a broken man. He refused to be comforted. Meanwhile, God was working in an amazing way. Joseph was taken by Potiphar, the captain in Pharaoh’s army. While Jacob wept, God was working out His plan.      www.newhopetv.org Often when we think all is lost and there is nothing to look forward to, God is still at work. He will fulfill His promises. He is in control of everything. Jacob was weeping for his son Joseph thinking he was dead while God was raising him up. DAY 2 - Focus on God

  Day 2  Read: Mathew 11: 28-30 The Jewish people have a certain reading for each day. It is significant that what happens on that day often has a connect to the respective scripture portion read from the Torah. An example of this connect is seen in Luke 4:17-20, when Jesus enters the synagogue and reads from Isaiah 61:1, “The spirit of God is upon me to preach good news, to free the captives and heal the broken hearted”. Jesus goes on to say “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”  Another fascinating example is the reading on the funeral of Billy Graham, a renowned man of God and an incredible evangelist who won many souls to Christ. He died on 15th February 2018 and at his funeral, his daughter, Anne Graham Lotz read the scripture portion allotted for that day according to the Jewish calendar.
