An Introduction To Rev K Vasudevan

Rev. K. Vasudevan was born in Chennai in a Hindu Family. His father, late Mr. A.C. Krishnan, was the first convert in the family. Vasu was severely dyslexic throughout his childhood and dropped out of school. By the mercy of God, he experienced the amazing love of the Lord Jesus Christ and was transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. He then finished high school and got a bachelor’s degree in Theology in South India Biblical Seminary. He then served as pastor for 18 years, in Methodist and Baptist churches. In the year 2003 he felt God’s calling into full time Christian counselling. God miraculously provided opportunities for him to go to America to be trained by Christian counsellors and psychologists. His areas of interest include, Childhood Hurts and Trauma, Emotion and Health, Forgiveness and Health and Suffering and Intimacy with God. He also has a deep interest in the ancient Hebrew language. This has enriched his understanding and appreciation of the Jewish roots of the Christian faith.

For the last 17 years he has been a freelance counsellor and is also involved in preaching and teaching. He lives in Bangalore with his wife Narola and has two children, Kavitha, married to Sushmith Joshua and a son, Rupen Paul. He also has a wonderful granddaughter, Amaira Joshua.

             Day 15  Read: John 20:19-23 Christ has destroyed the power of death through His work on the cross and His resurrecton. He is risen and He is with us. The disciples stayed behind locked doors in fear and isolaton afer Jesus was crucifed. DAY 32 - God At Work

                            DAY 32 Read: Genesis 37:31-36 Psalm 53:5 says, they feared where no fear had been. Joseph’s brothers sold him off and informed their father that Joseph had been eaten by the wild animals. Jacob on hearing this news tore his clothes put on sack cloth and was a broken man. He refused to be comforted. Meanwhile, God was working in an amazing way. Joseph was taken by Potiphar, the captain in Pharaoh’s army. While Jacob wept, God was working out His plan.      www.newhopetv.org Often when we think all is lost and there is nothing to look forward to, God is still at work. He will fulfill His promises. He is in control of everything. Jacob was weeping for his son Joseph thinking he was dead while God was raising him up. DAY 34 - Be A Blessing

                              DAY 34 Read: Genesis 40:1-8 Another important virtue we see in Joseph is his concern for the people around him. In Genesis 40:6, the cupbearer and baker are in prison and are dejected. Joseph asks them the reason and is led to help them. Though Joseph himself had enough problems of his own: being sold by his brothers, falsely accused, put in prison, he still chose to think of others. Look out for people who are suffering, it makes our dark periods lighter, it helps to shift the focus from ourselves to others. It makes us think less about ourselves and more about the needs of others. As Paul exhorts us, we need to look out for the interests of others. As we see in Job 42:10, God waited, as Job moved from his suffering to interceding and then to restoration.          As the renowned cardiologist, professional educator and author Dr. B.M.
